THE BASICS

Heritage Guitars builds high-quality electric guitars in the same Kalamazoo, Michigan factory that was formerly occupied by Gibson®. That factory began manufacturing guitars and other stringed instruments in 1917.

In 1984 Gibson® decided to permanently relocate to Nashville. Some of the workers enjoyed deep family and lifestyle roots in Kalamazoo and chose to remain there. Thus Heritage was founded in 1985 by a six-man ownership group comprised of former Gibson® employees.

BANDLAB ACQUISITION

In 2017 BandLab, a Singapore-based music technology and software company, acquired Heritage Guitars. Since this acquisition Heritage has:

  • Streamlined product offerings
  • Increased quality
  • Accelerated production
  • Shortened lead times
  • Expanded its dealer network

Heritage also offers a custom shop where guitars can be tailored to exact customer specifications.

The company continually exhibits its product line at major guitar shows including The NAMM Show, Dallas International Guitar Festival, and Guitar Summit.

ARTISTS

Heritage artists include Mateus Asato, Arianna Powell, Yas Nomura, Randy Johnston, Kenny Burrell, and Tim Pierce.
